Kiki met and bonded instantly with seasoned published singer songwriter Angus Powell on a songwriting workshop in October 2020, and the pair decided to pursue a writing relationship. Their very first session together resulted in a poignant tribute to Kiki's infant son Dexter, who died in 2007 from the genetic Peroxisomal Biogenesis Disorder, Zellweger Syndrome.
